US Army Corps of Engineers in Confluence, PA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform a variety of operation and maintenance duties at a major flood control project. The job covers crane, gate, and pump systems with tasks across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic domains.

Responsibilities include monitoring stages, repairing equipment, and operating heavy machinery to support public works and recreation facilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform common range of maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Maintain and repair equipment including hydraulics, electronics, mechanics, and equipment operation.
• Operate heavy equipment to include overhead cranes, road graders, dump trucks, bulldozers.

Responsabilités

• Perform operation and maintenance duties at a flood control project and related facilities.
• Monitor river and/or lake stages at the flood control project.
• Operate, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and associated machinery.
• Maintain electrical components, panels, and circuitry for the dam, offices and public areas.
• Operate and maintain flood control equipment including pumps, motors, and gate systems.
• Operate overhead cranes and other heavy equipment to move supplies and perform site tasks.
• Remove and replace sand, gravel, or earth for repairs on water, sewer, or electrical lines at construction sites.
