Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, pipes, and electrical/hydraulic systems across all shifts (1st–3rd) including weekends and holidays. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered.

The role entails diagnosing machine issues from sounds and performance, safely locking out energy, repairing parts, performing lubrication, and maintaining facility integrity. Prior experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to fill out routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively and convey information to other employees.

Responsibilities

• Listen for unusual sounds from machines to diagnose issues.
• Lock out energy sources before repairs and test operation.
• Lubricate and maintain shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
