Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic at the West Seneca plant to install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment across all shifts, including weekends and holidays. The role supports dairy processing operations and requires safety-first practices and strong mechanical skills.

Base pay starts at $28.53–$31.53/hr with total earnings up to $42.53/hr. Earn more through skill-based incentives and certifications; sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively and convey information to other employees.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to diagnose problems and repair.
• Lock out energy sources before starting repairs and test to ensure proper operation.
• Lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts as per procedures or schedules.
• Install and repair electrical wiring and electrical components on machinery and equipment.
• Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic equipment.
