Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Assessment to demonstrate experience and proficiency in areas/tasks assigned.
• Experience across safety, electrical, refrigeration, material handling, mechanical, welding, fire systems, and domestic water/waste water.
• Must supply own tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment and facilities operate safely to support operations.
• Enter work into the maintenance system and track repairs.
• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Safely shut down systems per standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and assist other mechanics as needed.
• Provide guidance to Maintenance Support Associates.
• Stay current with maintenance technology and training.
• Recommend process changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Follow Delhaize America standards for safety, accuracy and productivity.
