Job Summary

Enrollment and attendance in the second year of a Wisconsin-approved apprenticeship program to gain on-the-job learning with classroom instruction paid by Froedtert. The goal is to develop highly skilled mechanical and electrical technicians capable of maintaining machines and equipment. The position involves assisting experienced team members with diagnosing and repairing complex issues, and autonomously handling less complex tasks under supervision. Work is subject to progress evaluation and final inspection. The Apprentice must follow all safety rules, communicate effectively, and document work activities as needed.

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of the Mechanic Intern phase
  • Ability to complete the Wisconsin-certified Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship; a High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
Training

Use of hand and power tools, electric meters, material handling equipment; computer proficiency; good interpersonal skills for positive interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
