Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul equipment at our energy-from-waste facility in Virginia. You will work on boiler stokers, grates, conveyors, hydraulics, and rotating equipment, performing welding and fabrication as required.

The role requires independent work and teamwork, with some night/weekend/O.T. as needed, and a strong commitment to safety and quality in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on industrial maintenance experience with mills, presses, or similar equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience with conveyors, hydraulics, and rotating machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul facility equipment.
• Inspect Martin stoker systems, grates, drive components, and feeders.
• Perform welding and fabrication per drawings and procedures.
• Read equipment drawings and manuals; support outages and startup activities.
• Follow safety procedures and document work in CMMS.

Apply today!About the rolePosition Summary:Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul equipment at an energy-from-waste facility. Work includes boiler stokers and grates, feed chutes, conveyors, hydraulic systems, rotating equipment, and welded components.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment overhauls.Inspect and repair Martin stoker systems, including grates, drive components, feed chutes, and associated structures.Perform welding and fabrication using drawings and approved procedures.Read and interpret blueprints, equipment drawings, and technical manuals.Support equipment installation, alignment, rigging, and component replacement.Support planned outages, forced outages, and startup activities, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.Follow safety procedures, coordinate with Operations, and document work in the maintenance management system.QualificationsDemonstrated hands-on industrial maintenance, millwright, and welding experience.Ability to explain previous work, troubleshoot equipment, and demonstrate technical skills during the selection process.Experience with conveyors, hydraulics, rotating equipment, and heavy mechanical repairs.Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a team.Professional communication, accountability, and willingness to learn.Preferred ExperienceEnergy-from-waste or power plant maintenance.Martin stoker maintenance, grate overhauls, and feed chute replacement.Structural welding and fabrication.Boiler pressure-part repair experience and applicable welding qualifications.Physical Demands:Walk, stand, sit, climb and be able to handle temperature changes including extreme heat.Be able to lift/carry 50lbs and push/pull 100lbs.Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.Occasionally is exposed to outside heights as high as 225 feet above ground level and frequently works off scaffolding and ladders.Shift Work:After training, which will be a couple weeks of 8 hour days Monday - Friday, the shift will change to 12 hour rotating days/nights shift on a 5 on-2 off, 2on 5 off rotation.
