Position Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic A is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all electrical and mechanical equipment, including plastic injection blow mold machinery, at the plant and surrounding facilities, working independently without supervision or assistance.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety, food safety, and GMP rules and regulations.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions down to circuit board level, demonstrating electrical competency.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to restore it to a 'like new' condition when necessary.
• Work independently to complete tasks promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain or improve work speed and quality of work.
• Install and dismantle machinery and equipment as needed.
• Overhaul machinery by disassembling and repairing or replacing damaged parts.
• Operate mechanical equipment to diagnose issues and determine repairs.
• Use hand tools properly for equipment and structural repairs.
• Perform general building maintenance repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance such as greasing and oiling.
• Apply excellent technical and critical thinking skills.
• Possess a broad knowledge of various trades.
• Provide own hand tools and toolbox.
• Identify issues beyond own capability and communicate promptly to the Maintenance Manager for assistance.
