Job description

The Mechanic is expected to be proficient in all IP safety requirements, including, but not limited to: LOTT, Arc Flash, Hot Work, Radar and Lockout Exception Forms. He/she is expected to have the job specific skills necessary for all monthly PM inspections. The Mechanic is expected to provide maintenance support to all production equipment at the Columbus plant. He/she is expected to be competent in all mechanical skills (pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmission, lubrication) and to begin developing fundamental electrical skills necessary for basic electrical troubleshooting (fuses, motors, etc). The Mechanic is expected to be a fully functional maintenance person, demonstrating job specific knowledge and leadership skills during major projects such as roll changes.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least five years industrial mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• On the job success in safety, attendance and quality of work expected.
• Maintenance experience in corrugated industry a plus. Strong knowledge of lubrication, hydraulics, welding and pneumatics required.
• Excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem solving skills.
• Willingness to fully cross train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities.
• Will be willing and able to work all shifts, call-ins, holidays and overtime as needed.
• Able to work with computerized maintenance management system.
