Beth Israel Lahey Health in Boston is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair of building mechanical systems in a healthcare setting. You will follow a coordinated preventive maintenance program and respond to equipment and system issues after hours.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED, 0–1 years experience, and basic computer skills. The position is night shift, Sunday to Thursday, with snow removal responsibilities and emergency coverage as needed.

Sunday-Thursday10:00 PM- 6:30 AMMust be able to train and cover other shifts in emergency scenariosJob Description:Essential Responsibilities:Provides first response to equipment and system issues that are the responsibility of the mechanical section including; plumbing, bulb replacement, leak response.Provides first response to electrical and HVAC system issues while working on an off shift.Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment common to healthcare facility maintenance.Performs record keeping requirements and written reports as part of a daily routine.Required to respond to emergencies such as floods, power outages, etc. during off hours if asked to do so by the department supervisors. Snow removal is also the responsibility of the maintenance department and all maintenance employees are required to participate in the snow removal process.Required Qualifications:High School diploma or GED required.0-1 years related work experience required.Basic familiarity with computers. Job is physical in nature and employee needs to stand and/or move around through the majority of their shift.Pay Range:$30.00 – $40.38The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
