Position Overview

This role requires comprehensive maintenance knowledge of the facility. Effective communication with department and management teams is essential to ensure smooth production. The Master Mechanic works closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams, and collaborates with outside vendors for component sourcing. The role supports department activities and acts as an extension of service department management.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities, supporting upper management and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Maintain good housekeeping and support safety initiatives.
• System maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting.
• Supervise maintenance staff focusing on key machinery.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Be available for emergencies or after-hours work if needed.
• Assist in other plant areas as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training certification preferred.
• At least 10 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with cylinders, valves, bearings, gearboxes, presses, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform mathematical calculations.
• Strong mechanical skills, communication, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Effective time management and alignment with company values.
