Job summary

Lakeside Book Company in Indianapolis is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep warehouse equipment and conveyors running smoothly. You will perform inspections, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, and carry out preventative maintenance in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate records of repairs, and problem solving, with shifts from 11:00pm to 7:00am, Sunday through Thursday, and a wage of $22.50–$24.50 per hour plus a $1.50

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical mechanics training is a plus.
• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, incl. conveyors and wrappers.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; willingness to learn.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, stoop, bend, and twist throughout an 8 to 10 hours shift.
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment (if it's hot out, it's hot inside...)

Pay, Shift, & Location

• Pay:ranges from $22.50/hr to $24.50/hr depending on experience, with a $1.50/hr shift differential for 3rd shift.
• Shift: 11:00pm to 7:00am, Sunday - Thursday, with mandatory overtime as needed.
