Position: Maintenance Mechanic 3rd Shift

Reports to: Chief Engineer, Assistant Engineer, and Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift to support operations by maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and repairing machines. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing modern automated equipment. This position offers opportunities for skill development and career growth.

Primary Job Duties

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on automated equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls and perform necessary repairs.
• Be visible and available on the plant floor to assist departments as needed.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance during operation and scheduled shutdowns.
• Maintain a safe working environment in both the maintenance shop and plant floor.
• Ensure food safety and attention to detail when working near products.
• Provide and maintain personal hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, socket sets, hammers, and punches.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience: Prior experience in plant maintenance or as a general mechanic.

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food industry is a plus.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of basic tools.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and in hot environments.
• Food manufacturing knowledge is advantageous but not required.
