Position Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic will support our manufacturing facility by performing scheduled and unscheduled mechanical updates and repairs on fastener manufacturing equipment. The role involves suggesting improvements to increase productivity.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety as the number one priority.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on production and packing equipment.
• Provide emergency and unscheduled maintenance as required.
• Assist with setup, rebuilds, installations, and moves of equipment.
• Fabricate repair and safety parts as needed.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on equipment.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders.
• Comply with OSHA standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience, including troubleshooting, basic welding, hydraulics, and use of maintenance tools.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: industrial controls knowledge, PC skills, forklift certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in noisy environments, operate forklifts, and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Manual handling of materials up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, kneel, and perform physical tasks regularly.
