Job summary

Conagra Brands in Quincy, Michigan is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support reliability and efficiency of production equipment by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing pumps, motors, conveyors and control systems. You will participate in predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations on the lines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year experience in industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and drive systems.
• Experience supporting preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Mechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Basic computer skills (2 years preferred).
• Current work history with at least 1 year of recent employment.
• Ability to wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance across industrial machinery to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, chillers, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues related to production equipment.
• Support predictive maintenance programs to improve performance.
• Work across maintenance disciplines as needed.
• Respond to equipment alerts and communicate using radios.
• Conduct facility inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety, food safety and GMP requirements.
• Maintain attendance and support overtime as needed.

Job description

Shift: 1:00 PM-9:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $34.56 an hour + $0.20 shift differential

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will support the reliability and efficiency of equipment at our Quincy, Michigan manufacturing facility by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing production machinery used to produce Hebrew National Hot Dogs.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance across a wide range of industrial machinery and production equipment to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, chillers, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues related to production and facility equipment
• Support predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment performance and reliability
• Work across multiple maintenance disciplines based on operational needs
• Respond to equipment alerts and communicate effectively using radio systems
• Walk throughout the facility to complete inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks
• Follow all safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices requirements
• Maintain consistent attendance, work scheduled shifts, and support overtime needs

• 1+ year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical and electrical drive or control systems
• Experience supporting preventative and predictive maintenance programs
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Basic computer experience (2 years preferred)
• Current work history with at least 1 year of recent employment
• Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment
