Ferrara is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to keep production and facility equipment in top condition.
You will work with mechanical components, read blueprints, and perform preventive maintenance to meet production goals. The role involves overtime and varying hours, with core hours 4pm-4am, and potential weekend work.
Work Location: Forst ParkPosition requires ability to work overtime. As a result, it may require working varying start times, end times, and weekends dependent on business needs.
Core hours: 4pm-4am
The Maintenance Mechanic, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, maintains production and facility equipment in a condition to meet the plant production goals and the building requirements.
This position works with mechanical devices such as gears, sprockets, chains, sheaves, belts, brakes, clutches, couplings and coupling alignment, bearings, lubrication, hydraulics and pneumatics.
3 years of prior experience as an industrial Maintenance Mechanic OR Completion of 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field such as Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance or related area of study AND 1 year of prior experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
Experience must include diagnostic troubleshooting, repairing and replacing defective parts, adjusting machinery, and modifying units to meet proper operating specifications.
Experience in a food-manufacturing environment is preferredHigh school Diploma or GED. 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field such as Industrial Maintenance or Mechanical Maintenance, OR related area of study, OR Journeyman Certification, preferredBasic experience working with and troubleshooting electrical components like 240-480v motors, wiring, switches, sensors, AC and DC circuits.Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles and methodologies
The salary for this role is $38.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential per hour
