Job summary

Bunge in Modesto, CA is seeking a maintenance craftsperson to support operations with overtime as needed. The role requires welding, electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, and safe operation across multiple plant areas.

You will read drawings, set up equipment, and perform repairs, with a focus on safety and compliance. The position offers hourly pay in the $30–$40 range, an annual incentive potential, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand SOPs, prints and manuals.
• Experience welding stainless and regular steel.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Must be able to read/write in English for safety training and record keeping.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant equipment per safety guidelines.
• Read drawings and layouts; set up and operate craft equipment.
• Insulate and maintain equipment, pipes, and ducts as needed.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and tests.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and assist with plant housekeeping.
• Operate shop tools and equipment such as drills, saws, grinders, welders, plasma cutter; repair and replace parts.
• Adhere to all safety and food safety guidelines.
