Crothall Healthcare, part of Compass Group USA, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic for 1st shift in Wakefield, RI. The role operates and maintains HVAC systems, boilers, and related equipment on a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule with possible on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year trade or vocational school or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain HVAC systems, boilers, generators, and steam equipment.
• Perform repairs to building and grounds and conduct routine rounds of mechanical spaces.
• Replace HVAC air filters per schedule and document readings as required.
• Notify managers for major repairs and coordinate with other departments.
• Respond to emergency call-ins and assist with facilities emergencies per policy.
• Maintain work areas and stock, drive vehicles as needed, and ensure PPE is worn.

Job Summary

Summary: Operates and maintains all equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, generators, and steam equipment. This is a first shift 7am to 3:30pm M-F schedule. Scheduled days and times will vary with weekends and on-call rotations as needed/required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
• Perform repairs to building and grounds.
• Conduct routine rounds of mechanical spaces and documents equipment readings as required.
• Replace HVAC air filters per schedule.
• Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating. hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Notify managers the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Coordinate building and system repairs to with other departments.
• Respond to emergency call-in situations.
• Report any deficiencies on specific jobs or equipment.
• Assist other trades as required.
• Assist with facilities emergency events per policy.
• Support and review the work of outside vendors.
• Maintain mechanicals spaces per Quality Assurance Program.
• Maintain necessary stock and tools to perfrom work.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Drive vehicles required to perform work.
• Document work per department procedures.
• Must complete safety and technical training as assigned by department director or designee.
• Must wear appropriate PPE and other protective gear and equiptment as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
