Job summary

Valdese Weavers in Valdese, NC is seeking a 1st shift IND Maintenance Mechanic B to install and repair production equipment, piping, and building systems within a large, ESOP textile mill. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork, with hands-on welding and mechanical duties.

Requirements include welding, pipefitting, reading and math skills, and the ability to lift heavy objects. Attendance is valued and a $50 bonus is available for consistent, injury-free periods.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills in English.
• Experience welding and pipefitting.
• Good mechanical ability and physical fitness.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and ISO 9001 work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair production and building equipment and piping per ISO 9001.
• Inspect equipment for lubrication and perform preventive maintenance.
• Identify problems, perform repairs or adjustments, and escalate complex cases.
• Operate machine tools and weld or work with sheet metal as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all maintenance activities.
