Job summary

KIK Consumer Products is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic at our Mars, PA facility. You will keep production equipment running safely and efficiently, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and help drive safety and continuous improvement.

The role is onsite with 1st shift hours and overtime opportunities. Compensation includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

2+ years of mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging/manufacturing environment, preferably food industry.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to perform in a manufacturing setting.
Strong interpersonal, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Time management and organization; multitasking in changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Independently identify and repair equipment issues within assigned area with minimal supervision.
Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Experience with troubleshooting bottling, filling equipment and gantry palletizers.
Provide quick and innovative mechanical solutions to breakdowns using mechanics, fitting, plumbing, welding, machining and analysis.
Respond promptly to equipment-related issues with a customer-oriented approach.
Perform general electrical repairs including wiring, relays, solenoids, and 120v-480v systems; read schematics.
