Job summary

ThermTech - Heat Treating Specialists is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Waukesha, WI. The role focuses on keeping production machinery in ready-for-service condition via preventative maintenance and day-to-day repairs.

The shift is 1st, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday with rotating weekends on call. Applicants should have 2+ years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in maintenance work.

• Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled industrial environment and handle physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain all plant machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties.
• Determine need for repairs and perform equipment adjustments to maintain reliable operation.
• Complete minor electrical work such as motor and fuse replacements, switches, etc.
• Ensure plant organization and cleanliness.

Position Location:

Position Hours:

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday - Friday with rotating weekends on call.

Position Wage:

$25.00 - $38.00 per hour.

Salaries are based on a number of factors, including the skills and experience of the candidates. It is common to be hired at the lower to middle end of a salary range and while it is possible to be hired at the higher end, it often requires unique circumstances, such as proven expertise.

Job Description:

The Maintenance Mechanic's responsibilities include keeping all production machinery in "ready for Service" condition by performing preventative maintenance, as scheduled by our maintenance management software, as well as taking care of day-to-day maintenance issues

Job Duties amp; Responsibilities:

• Repair amp; maintain all plant machinery amp; equipment
• Diagnose machine malfunctions amp; operating difficulties
• Determine need for amp; effect machine repairs amp; adjustments to maintain a reliable operation
• Complete minor electrical work such as motor replacement, fuse replacement, switches, etc.
• Ensure plant organization amp; cleanliness

Minimum Requirements:

Physical amp; Mental Demands:

• Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods in a non-climate controlled industrial environment
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions.
• Capable of lifting and carrying at least 25-pound objects throughout shift
• Must be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity, etc.
• Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
• Must demonstrate the ability to perform fundamental mathematical skills and concepts (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, and the basics of algebra and geometry).
• Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
• Ability to hear in person and via phone.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

2+ years in maintenance work required
