A leading company in the printing paper distribution sector is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for their Alsip facility. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing complex systems and performing preventive maintenance. This position offers an attractive hourly rate, stability, and a comprehensive benefits package.
National, well established printing paper distributor and convertor has an opening for an experienced maintenance mechanic on our 1st or 2nd shift.This is an excellent opportunity to work for North America’s largest converter and distributor of fine printing and packaging paper.
Starting hourly rate: $30.00 - $35.00/ hr
Requirements:
•Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
•Installations and overhauls to equipment, machinery and facilities, including rewinders, sheeters and trimmers.
•Hydraulic & pneumatic systems, basic electrical circuits, motors, gears, compressors, pumps, clutches and brakes.
•Perform other tasks such as light machining, preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubricating parts as well as welding and fabricating parts.
•Ability to follow written instructions from manuals, schematics, specifications and manufacturer’s directions required.
•Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience.
Knowledge in a paper converting facility or similar industry setting preferred.
MUST BE ABLE TO COMPLETE PRE EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND, DRUG, AND PHYSICAL SCREENINGS.
