Job summary

State of Washington’s DCYF is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic 1 at Echo Glen Children’s Center in Snoqualmie, WA to perform routine and semi-skilled repairs under supervision.

You will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment maintenance, using hand and power tools, and assist with shop fabrication as needed. This role supports safe, functional facilities for children and staff.

Qualifications

• Two years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction, or repair work.

Salary:$56,952 - $66,072 Yearly. This salary does not include an additional 5% premium pay for employees working in King County or an on-site 24/7 facility 5% premium.

The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is accepting applications for a Maintenance Mechanic 1 to serve as a general repair worker when an immediate journey-level tradesperson is unavailable, independently performing routine maintenance assignments or under the technical direction of a journey level position.

The Opportunity:

We need your trades experience to perform a variety of semi-skilled sub-journey work at Echo Glen Children’s Center. You will work in the maintenance, repair, remodeling, alterations, and construction of buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment.
