Job summary

Healthcare Linen Services Group is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for its Wichita, KS plant to install, repair, and maintain large industrial textile processing equipment and related facilities. The role covers start-up/shut-down, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other systems.

Key duties include supporting the Maintenance Manager, developing maintenance programs, completing PMs, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring a safe, clean work

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance or related role.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Manager with plant maintenance operations and safety.
• Assist in building a maintenance program to optimize uptime, costs, and OSHA compliance.
• Complete PMs, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment with documentation.
• Monitor equipment and boilers; coordinate repairs with management as needed.
• Assist outside contractors with repairing and installing machinery.
• Apply plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facilities.
• Maintain a neat, clean work area and comply with policies.
• Operate forklift to load and unload trucks.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Tasks include start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining and operating boilers, welding and cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and other systems

• Assists Maintenance Manager with all plant maintenance operations, ensuring that plant premises and equipment are kept in safe and clean condition


• Assists in building a maintenance program that optimizes the plant's uptime, considers costs, and satisfies all industry regulations and OSHA guidelines


• Complete PMs. Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment and document the work done without direct supervision


• Monitor equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order. Work closely with management to repair or replace equipment as needed


• Monitor boilers and associated equipment for proper operation


• Assist outside contractors with repairing and installing machinery


• Able to apply general plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facility


• Always complies with company policies and procedures


• Maintains a neat and clean working area throughout the day


• Operate forklift to unload and load trucks.


• Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs.

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
