Job summary

Logan's Uniform Rental is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift in Shelbyville, KY. The role focuses on installing, repairing, and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. Tasks include boiler operation, electrical troubleshooting, welding, hydraulics, and more.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience, be punctual and reliable, and capable of independent problem solving. A 2nd Class B Boilers Operator License is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 2nd Class B Boilers Operator License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists Maintenance Manager with plant maintenance operations to keep premises and equipment safe and clean.
• Builds a maintenance program to optimize uptime and satisfy regulations/OSHA guidelines.
• Complete PMs, troubleshoot, repair and rebuild equipment with minimal supervision.
• Monitor equipment and boilers, repair or replace as needed.
• Assist external contractors with repairing and installing machinery.
• Apply plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facilities.
• Maintain neat and clean working area; operate forklift for loading/unloading.
• Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Mechanic

Full Time Hourly Direct Hires Shelbyville, KY, US

Salary Range: $25.00 To $27.00 Hourly

JOB SUMMARY:3 rd shift The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Tasks include start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining and operating boilers, welding and cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and other systems

• Assists Maintenance Manager with all plant maintenance operations, ensuring that plant premises and equipment are kept in safe and clean condition
• Assists in building a maintenance program that optimizes the plant’s uptime, considers costs, and satisfies all industry regulations and OSHA guidelines
• Complete PMs. Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment and document the work done without direct supervision
• Monitor equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order. Work closely with management to repair or replace equipment as needed
• Monitor boilers and associated equipment for proper operation
• Assist outside contractors with repairing and installing machinery
• Able to apply general plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facility
• Always complies with company policies and procedures
• Maintains a neat and clean working area throughout the day
• Operate forklift to unload and load trucks.
• Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs.

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.

• Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.

Schedule

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Must be able to work OT and weekends as needed
