Job summary
DSJ Global is partnering with a Fortune 500 consumer products manufacturer to recruit a Maintenance Mechanic for its Wheeling, IL facility. The position features a night shift (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and a fireman schedule (36 hours one week / 48 hours the next), with benefits starting Day 1.
You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support reliability initiatives while utilizing SAP/CMMS systems.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a maintenance apprenticeship OR 2+ years industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience troubleshooting equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints or mechanical drawings.
- SAP or CMMS experience preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical equipment.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery.
- Complete welding, fabrication, and machining projects.
- Repair pumps, motors, conveyors, gearboxes and material handling equipment.
- Support equipment rebuilds and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Utilize SAP/CMMS systems to document maintenance activities.
- Follow all Lockout/Tagout and safety procedures.
- Work closely with operations to minimize downtime and improve performance.
