Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support power generation facility operations in West Palm Beach. You will perform mechanical maintenance on rotating machinery, boilers, cranes and piping, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

The role requires experience with boilers, turbines and conveyors; welding is a plus. Rotating shifts apply, with a focus on a safe and inclusive workplace and adherence to Reworld values.

Qualifications

• Experience with boilers, cranes, soot blowers, motors, turbines, condensers, and conveyors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical repairs, PMs and fabrication including pipefitting and rigging.
• Dismantles and overhauls turbines, generators, boilers, pumps and valves.
• Inspects, lubricates and adjusts plant equipment for efficiency.
• Performs heavy lifting, rigging, welding and piping work.
• Plans jobs using sketches, blueprints and drawings.

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for mechanical work in support of the overall facility operation and in maintaining operation of the power generation plant. Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing various aspects of mechanical maintenance on rotation machinery and equipment, boilers and support systems, cranes, structural supports and equipment, piping systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs a wide variety of mechanical repairs, PM's, and fabrication, including pipefitting, rigging, assembly and disassembly of all types of plant operation equipment, conveyors, piping structural reinforced plastic, and sheet metal systems.
• Dismantles, overhauls, reassembles, and adjusts turbines, generators, boilers, pumps, valves, and all other auxiliary equipment.
• Inspects and lubricates all plant equipment routinely and makes necessary adjustments to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently.
• Performs heavy lifting and rigging. Uses burning torch and welding equipment to perform repair welding, mechanical repairs, piping, and valve packing. Performs integrity tests on piping and other plant equipment.
• Plan details of jobs assigned, develops, and uses sketches, blueprints, and complex drawings.

Qualifications

• GED/HS Diploma or 5 years' related experience.
• Experience with boilers, cranes, soot blowers, motors, turbines, condensers, and conveyors a plus.
• Welding experience a plus.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 33.22 - 44.18 USD per hour
