Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II for the 3rd shift (9pm-5:30am) in California. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment, with emphasis on utilities. OT, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install piping and minor components for equipment repair.
• Manage size changeovers and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
• Identify root causes of failures and resolve with minimal downtime.
• Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas.

Job description

Job Overview:

The Maintenance Mechanic II - 2nd shift is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, boilers, pumps, liquid fillers, packaging equipment, material handling equipment, bulk delivery equipment, and blending/mixing systems. This position will primarily focus on the utilities side of maintenance.

Shift:

3rd Shift 9pm-5:30am - Monday-Friday. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled. *OT is typical for this role.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times.
• Focus on Good Manufacturing and Food Safety practices in all work.
• Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
• Wire moderately complex control circuits.
• Teach basic mechanical skills to line operators to support autonomous maintenance, TPM functions, equipment set-up and centerlining.
• Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate, utilizing formulas for all phases.
• Ability to quickly learn to weld and machine metals, plastics, and composites.
• Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
• Complete size changeovers and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
• Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical and control failures and resolve with effective problem-solving tools with minimal downtime or supervision.
• Troubleshoot and program minor changes in Allen Bradley PLC (SLC500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix).
• Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas.

• Compensation: $35.93/hr

Requirements:

• 2-years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education.

• Ability to frequently walk, kneel, squat, climb, bend, stoop, and twist.
