Job Overview

Maintenance Mechanic II – Holland, MI

Shift & Schedule

This is a full-time position on 2nd shift: 2:30pm – 11pm Monday – Friday. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays is required.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment, demonstrating safe behaviors at all times.
• Focus on Good Manufacturing and Food Safety practices in all work.
• Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
• Wire moderately complex control circuits.
• Teach basic mechanical skills to line operators to support autonomous maintenance, TPM functions, equipment set‑up and centerlining.
• Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process and condensate, utilizing formulas for all phases.
• Ability to quickly learn to weld and machine metals, plastics, and composites.
• Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
• Complete size changeovers and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
• Identify root causes of mechanical, electrical and control failures and resolve with effective problem‑solving tools with minimal downtime or supervision.
• Troubleshoot and program minor changes in Allen Bradley PLC (SLC500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix).
• Generate productivity and continuous improvement ideas.

Total Rewards

• Pay starting at $25.86 per hour + $0.35 shift differential.

Requirements

• 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent education.
• Experience with electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems preferred.
• Fabrication experience preferred.
• Self‑motivated team player with the ability and willingness to make decisions, effectively communicate, problem solve and teach others.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to frequently walk, kneel, squat, climb, bend, stoop, and twist.
• Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
