Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components across packaging lines, boilers, pumps, conveyors, and motors.
• Perform minor programming updates and troubleshooting on PLC platforms.
• Maintain and replace VFDs and 3-phase 480V motors to ensure uptime.
• Construct, maintain, and install hangers and piping for steam, process, condensate, and water systems.
• Execute equipment adjustments and size changeovers to keep filling and packaging lines running.

We are currently hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in Tucson, AZ, to support operations at a historic and nationally recognized beverage production facility. This position includes access to benefits and consistent weekly compensation.

Compensation and Schedule Details:

The role offers a pay rate of up to $24.81 per hour. The schedule runs Monday through Saturday, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. You will receive pay on a weekly basis every Friday, with the potential for overtime. For instance, working 60 hours per week at the $24.81 hourly rate results in a gross weekly paycheck of $1,736.70.

Additional Information: This is a 3-month contract position that may be extended, and we are looking for candidates who can start immediately.

Role Summary:

Our team is looking for a talented Maintenance Mechanic to manage the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of utility and production machinery within our beverage plant. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, focusing on the utilities department while addressing issues across hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

Core Duties:

• Diagnose and fix issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical components, such as packaging lines, fillers, boilers, pumps, conveyors, and motors.
• Perform minor programming updates and troubleshooting on Allen Bradley PLC platforms, including CompactLogix, MicroLogix, SLC500, and ControlLogix.
• Help ensure operational efficiency by maintaining and replacing VFDs and 3-phase 480V motors.
• Construct, maintain, and install hangers and piping for steam, process, condensate, and water systems to support facility infrastructure.
• Execute equipment adjustments and size changeovers to keep liquid fillers and packaging machinery running smoothly.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven background in the repair and diagnostics of industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
• Competence in wiring control circuits of moderate complexity.
• Familiarity with the operation and logic of Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Practical experience working with VFDs and 3-phase 480V motor systems.
• Proficiency in welding various types of metals.
• Capability to machine composites, plastics, and metals to create necessary replacement parts.
• Demonstrated skill in pipe fabrication and pipefitting.
• Commitment to maintaining high productivity by independently resolving equipment failures to minimize downtime.
