Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial/manufacturing setting desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to SH&E policies; complete hot work, line break, lockout/tagout, and other SH&E permits; maintain safe work environment.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections; troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Safely work with hazardous materials.
  • Operate forklift and other motorized equipment; move materials as needed.
  • Work in a team; train co-workers on tasks as required.
  • Maintain 5S housekeeping and cleanliness; ensure orderly work area.
  • Communicate operation status to the next shift; report on time to receive status from previous shift.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job.

Job description

  • Adhere to Safety, Health and Environmental (SH&E) policies and procedures. Responsible for the completion of Hot Work, Line Break, Lock, Tag & Try, contractor work permits and other SH&E permits. Maintain a questioning attitude to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Work Instructions. Complete necessary forms, charts etc, to document the process. Respond appropriately to process variations.
  • Ability to safely work with hazardous materials.
  • Daily inspection of equipment. Troubleshoot equipment as needed and perform preventative maintenance
  • Ability to work in a team environment and move to where the work is required. Train co-workers on the job tasks as required.
  • Perform housekeeping and 5S. Operate forklift and other motorized transportation equipment as necessary.
  • Communicate the status of the operation to the shift following. Report to his/her workstation on time in order to receive operation status from previous shift.

Education

Experience
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing plant ‘
  • Experience with welding, electrical and mechanical work.
