Accelera in California's Central Valley is seeking a Maintenance Manual Machinist/Fabricator to perform fabrication, equipment repairs, and routine maintenance in a hands-on role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Compensation: Earn between $34 and $40 per hour, depending on your background, for this Monday through Friday position.

Role Summary

We are seeking a talented professional to bolster our plant operations by performing expert fabrication, equipment repairs, and general maintenance. In this active, hands‑on position, you will be responsible for troubleshooting complex systems and designing custom parts to ensure our production lines remain safe and highly productive.

Primary Duties

• Utilize manual machining tools like mills, lathes, and drill presses to manufacture or restore machine parts.
• Execute various metalwork tasks including welding (TIG, MIG, and stick), cutting, and assembly.
• Maintain, install, and diagnose issues within our mechanical systems, facility infrastructure, and production machinery.
• Create custom tooling, safety guards, and specialized components to enhance operational efficiency.
• Perform layout work, pipe fitting, and torch cutting across a variety of materials.
• Help uphold our preventive maintenance schedules by performing thorough inspections and keeping accurate records.
• Work alongside production, quality, and engineering departments to effectively resolve equipment malfunctions.
• Provide support for general facility upkeep, such as basic electrical tasks and carpentry.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by keeping the shop clean and orderly.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive background in metal fabrication, manual machining, pipe fitting, and welding.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude paired with a proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance protocols, with a preference for candidates possessing basic electrical knowledge.
• Experience utilizing shop machinery such as grinders, band saws, mills, lathes, and various hand tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and mentor others on technical procedures.
• Completion of a technical school program, an associate degree, or equivalent professional experience.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

Physical Demands

• Requires a mix of standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 75 lbs with good manual dexterity.
• Tasks may be performed in indoor or outdoor settings, involving exposure to dust, varying temperatures, and uneven terrain.
• Must be able to satisfy all necessary respirator certification and vision standards.
