Job summary

Thunderbird Molding is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a 1st shift role from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, five to six days per week, to support stamping production equipment with preventive maintenance and reliability improvements.

Candidates should have hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, pipefitting, hydraulics and pneumatics, reading mechanical/electrical prints, and following safety procedures. Strong problem solving and basic welding/cutting skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance mechanics with basic electrical and pipe fitting experience.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing and code books.
• Basic mechanical, welding and cutting skills.
• Should be capable of reading mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
• Good problem-solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality.
• Have basic workbench and computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of relay logic, AC/DC motor drives, PLC & SLC and motor control circuits.
• Intermediate knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, plumbing, and code books.
• Repair knowledge of pumps, compressors, gear boxes and blowers.

Maintenance Mechanic Overview

The Maintenance Mechanics will need an advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, pipefitting, and fluid power industrial manufacturing maintenance. This role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and supporting the overall reliability of stamping production equipment. This is a 1st shift position starting at 5am and ending at 3:30pm working 5-6 days per week.

Maintenance Mechanic Essential Functions

Maintenance Mechanic Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.

• Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear.
