Job description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a dynamic recycling company. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing extrusion equipment, dryers, and decontamination units, ensuring the optimal functioning of these critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair extrusion equipment, dryers, and decontamination units.
• Install, clean, and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys, and other hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical parts of machines.
• Repair or replace gauges, valves, regulators, and other components of hydraulic, pneumatic, and other fluid-powered equipment or mechanical systems.
• Possession of an Electrical Trainee card or schooling equivalent
• Basic knowledge of PLCs and the ability to interpret indicator lights on a PLC car.
• Strong electrical skills, including motor controls, relays, and control circuits.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and preventative / corrective maintenance.
• Familiarity with lock out / tag out procedures and electrical safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in extrusion is a plus.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience in both residential and commercial electrical work is acceptable.

Pay and Benefits
