Maintenance Mechanic – Ruston, LA

Location: Ruston, LA

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM

*Training hours are from 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM until you are comfortable performing tasks independently.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will perform setup, disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of paper machine rolls of varying sizes. You must ensure all repairs meet strict quality standards while focusing on efficiency and safety. A deep understanding of mechanical assemblies and different roll types is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency with mechanical tools, including drills, taps, pullers, bearing heaters, and presses
• Experience operating overhead cranes (25‑ton), forklifts, hand trucks, and basic hand tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license
