Job summary

B&H Fulfillment is seeking a Maintenance MHE Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on site, including conveyors, packaging machines, and related equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience with automated conveyors, industrial controls, PLCs, and MHE safety standards, with 5+ years in the field. Second shift hours are 3pm-11pm plus Sunday.

Qualifications

• Education/course work in Mechanical or Electrical field preferred or required.
• 5+ years’ experience with automated conveyors, industrial controls, PLC programs and MHE safety standards.
• Basic metal fabrication and welding.

Responsibilities

• Adjust scanners, cameras, field buses, scales and printer applicators.
• Reset, repair, or replace belts, chains, cables, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys.
• Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachometers, encoders.
• Use handheld devices and asset management apps to create and close Work Orders with data.

Job Title:

Maintenance MHE Mechanic

2nd Shift – Monday to Thursday 3pm-11pm & Sunday 9am-6pm

Job Overview:

The Maintenance MHE Mechanicwill maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) on site, including conveyor systems, tape machines, bubble machines, box erectors, I-Pack packaging machines and bubble inserters

Essential Responsibilities:

• Adjust scanners, cameras, field buses, scales and printer applicators
• Reset, repair, or replace adjustable components (belts, chains, cables) and wearing components
  guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys)
• Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment
• Use appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals to conduct maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor
  starters, tachometers, encoders, etc.
• Utilize handheld devices and asset management system mobile apps to create and close Work
  Orders with appropriate data (labor hours, downtime, problem/cause/remedy, and parts used)
• Follow appropriate safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while
  maintaining equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), and ensure a safe work environment by
  eliminating potential equipment safety hazards

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to follow them
• Must be able to work under pressure and exercise good judgement
• PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices

Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:

• Education/course work in Mechanical or Electrical field preferred required
• 5+ years’ experience with automated conveyors, industrial controls, PLC programs and MHE safety standards.
• Basic metal fabrication and welding
