Job summary

Teledyne MEC, part of Teledyne Microwave Solutions, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic in Rancho Cordova, CA, to ensure reliability and efficiency of equipment and facility systems supporting manufacturing operations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, dismantle and repair components, and contribute to continuous improvement. 2–4 years of industrial or equipment maintenance experience and a high school diploma are required.

  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance instructions, diagrams, and technical documentation.

  • Basic mathematical skills, including measurements, formulas, and geometric calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment to maximize uptime and reliability.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues by observing equipment operation and identifying the root cause of failures.
  • Dismantle, inspect, repair, and replace defective machinery components.
  • Measure and evaluate worn parts to determine repair or replacement requirements.
  • Adjust equipment and control systems using hand tools, levels, and precision measuring devices.
  • Fabricate, modify, and install replacement parts using machine shop equipment and metalworking tools.
  • Operate equipment such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and related shop machinery.
  • Test, lubricate, and maintain equipment to verify safe and effective operation.
  • Order maintenance parts and supplies as needed to support repair activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
