Job summary

The Maintenance Mechanic II at McBride Orthopedic Hospital performs maintenance, repairs, and installation of hospital and clinic equipment and mechanical systems. You will maintain accurate records and ensure enlistment of new equipment in to the facility Equipment Management System.

Under the supervision of the Plant Operations Director, you will troubleshoot issues, document work, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in a relevant field plus 2 years of work experience or equivalent.
• ODL Class II Boiler Operator license required within 6 months of hire.
• Maintenance experience across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, plant operations, and strong problem-solving and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation of hospital and clinic equipment and mechanical systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage equipment enrollment in the Facility Equipment Management System.
• Work under supervision of the Plant Operations Director to ensure reliable plant operations.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Associates degree in relevant field of study and 2 years of work-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. ODL Class II Boiler Operator license obtained within 6 months of hire. Competency in diverse relevant maintenance experience including Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, Plant Operations, Problem Solving and Critical Thinking.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:

Experience in hospital maintenance field; Mechanical Journeyman License; Relevant experience in troubleshooting main components in plant operations and building maintenance, involving critical thinking skills.
