Job summary

Materion is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support installation, maintenance and repair of production equipment. You will diagnose issues, tear down and repair machinery, and fabricate fixtures as needed.

The role requires reading drawings, using test equipment, and maintaining safe work areas while tracking work orders and coordinating with the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of mechanic experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read drawings and perform basic fabrication.
• Experience with brakes, clutches, plumbing and welding.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnosing, tearing down and repairing plant equipment.
• Work from drawings to fabricate equipment, fixtures, or devices as needed.
• Utilize test equipment, measuring devices and hand/power tools.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas throughout the facility.
• Track progress of work orders and close requests promptly.
• Operate lifting devices as trained.
