Job summary

Affinity Personnel Solutions in Buffalo, NY seeks experienced maintenance mechanics to support a local manufacturing plant. Multiple shifts (1st, 2nd and 3rd) are available, with pay depending on experience ranging from $25 to $43 per hour.

You will troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including heat presses, injection molding machines, paint booths, forklifts and conveyors, and you will read blueprints and schematics to guide maintenance work. PLC knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have at minimum 3 years of experience with mechanical maintenance in an industrial setting.
• Must have strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• PLC knowledge and experience is a plus.
• Must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair issues with production equipment, including heat presses of various sizes, injection molding machines, paint booths, forklifts, conveyors, slitters, etc.
• Must have strong working knowledge of production equipment and tools/methods for installing, maintaining and repairing.
• Blueprint and schematic reading is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all production equipment within the plant.
• Ensure equipment is in good working condition through preventative maintenance schedules to keep all machines online.
• Install new equipment as needed.
• Work with hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Utilize tools as needed and be able t program/set-up equipment as needed.
