About the Role

The Maintenance Mechanic performs skilled maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This position works independently on most assignments and supports the reliability and efficiency of production operations while maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor system issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and equipment drawings.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and drive systems.
• Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential failures.
• Complete work orders and maintenance records in the CMMS system.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and capital improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Support production teams by responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Mentor and assist Maintenance Mechanics I and II as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.

Qualifications/Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school certificate or Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.
• 5 plus years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Manufacturing or heavy equipment industry experience preferred.
