Job summary

Kershaw Equipment in Montgomery, AL, is seeking a Purchasing Administrator to source materials, create and track purchase orders, and negotiate with suppliers to keep production flowing. Strong Excel skills and ERP/MRP experience are required.

You will collaborate with Operations, Planning, Quality and Finance to manage costs, monitor supplier performance, and maintain procurement records. 0–2 years of purchasing or related experience is acceptable; internships are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's of Business Administration or Operations preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and electronically.
• Occasional walking within office and manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to travel occasionally to supplier or company locations as required.
