PPG is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the manufacturing of photochromic dyes, OLED materials, and optical coatings. You will work onsite in Monroeville, PA, with a schedule from 8:00 to 4:30, Monday through Friday, and possible overtime or weekend work.

Responsabilités

• Help with routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of mechanical equipment, tools, and facility systems.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical issues under the guidance of supervisor.
• Support preventive maintenance (PM) activities, including lubrication, adjustments, and component replacement.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
• Follow work instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
• Help with equipment installations, modifications, and shutdown/startup activities.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas and mechanical spaces.
• Escalate abnormal equipment conditions or safety concerns promptly.

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for process development and manufacturing of photochromic dyes, OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) materials and optical coatings, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!

Location:

based onsite in Monroeville, PA

Work Schedule:

8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday. May require overtime or some weekend work.

Pay Range:

$45,000 to $60,000 annually, non-exempt + OT. Depending on skill(s) and experience higher rate of pay may be considered.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and high level of safety awareness


• Strong problem solving, initiative, and knowledge of PC applications


• Interact with all levels of organization, and able to work in a team environment


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day


• Must be able to stand, bend, crouch, kneel throughout the day, use basic tools, operate a Forklift or ability to learn new maintenance skills


• Ability to work overtime as needed
