Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, boilers, pumps, liquid fillers, packaging equipment, material handling equipment, bulk delivery equipment, and blending/mixing systems. This position primarily focuses on utilities maintenance.

Shift / Schedule: This position works the third shift, Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 pm - 5:30 am. Flexibility and availability to work Saturdays, overtime, and holidays are required based on business needs.

Position Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
• Wire moderately complex control circuits.
• Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and piping, including hot/cold water, steam, process, and condensate lines, utilizing appropriate formulas.
• Weld various types of metals.
• Machine metals, plastics, and composites.
• Fabricate or replicate minor parts for equipment repair or replacement.
• Complete size changeovers, make adjustments, and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
• Identify problems and complete repairs with minimal downtime or supervision.
• Troubleshoot and program minor changes in Allen Bradley PLCs (SLC, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix).
• Troubleshoot 3-phase v motors and VFDs, including replacement and programming.

Total Rewards

• Starting rate: $32.09/hr

Requirements

• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of troubleshooting experience with 3-phase (V) circuits, motor starters, controls, and electronic circuit boards.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly, and stand/walk for long periods.
