Are you a dynamic, skilled Maintenance Mechanic with a knack for problem-solving? Do you have a passion for maintaining and repairing machinery to ensure optimal performance? As a Permanent Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment. Responsibilities :

As a Maintenance Mechanic, your key responsibilities will include :

1. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on various types of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, including motors, and implementing effective solutions.

3. Mechanical / Electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, ensuring all machinery and equipment are safe and functional.

4. Working with programmable logic controllers (PLC) to automate machinery and processes.

5. Responding promptly to emergency maintenance calls and performing repairs quickly and efficiently.

6. Collaborating with other team members to identify potential issues and develop proactive maintenance strategies.

7. Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including any parts or components used.

8. Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, and promoting a culture of safety within the team.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role, you will need :

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, in the Manufacturing industry. Food and Beverage experience a plus!

2. Proven experience in mechanical / electrical troubleshooting, motor repair, and machine maintenance.

3. Proficiency in working with PLCs.

4. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of machinery and equipment.

5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.

6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable way.

7. A commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant regulations and protocols.

8. A relevant trade certification or equivalent would be considered an asset.
