Position Summary
Maintenance Mechanics maintain and repair factory equipment and other industrial machinery, such as conveying systems, production machinery, and packaging equipment. Maintenance Machine Mechanics install, dismantle, repair, reassemble, and move machinery in manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities
- Provide troubleshooting, diagnostic evaluation, and repair of equipment.
- Perform maintenance, service & repairs, and perform scheduled preventive maintenance of liquid fillers, pumps, conveyors, and coding equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair blenders and filling/packaging machines.
- Attend and participate in all required staff functions including but not limited to Safety Committee Meetings, “5 minute Meetings”, & leadership development meetings.
- Promote safety by abiding by all related policies and procedures and set a good example for others.

- Communicates timely and to the appropriate personnel with regards to any information about meeting work assignments as directed or as inferred to be successful.

Qualifications
- Education: Technical Degree or equivalent educational/military experience.
- Experience: 5 or more years’ experience in equipment repair.
- Mechanical Skills: Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Pumps, Bearings, Chains and Belting, Conveying Systems, Valves and Mechanical Troubleshooting.
- Electrical Skills: Basic Electricity, Volt Meter and Amp Probe, AC/DC Motors and Control Systems, Basic Schematic Reading, Basic PLC Knowledge and Electrical Troubleshooting.
- Machine Shop Skills: Welding, Fabrication and excellent abilities with all standard maintenance tools and shop equipment.
- Machine Experience: MRM/Elgin, Cozzoli, Kapsall, Oden, and Kalish liquid fillers, Resina, and Kapsall automatic cappers.
- Communication: Employee is regularly required to speak and hear. Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day including climbing ladders. Frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
