Atlanta Cheesecake Company Maintenance Mechanic

Atlanta Cheesecake Company, a Dessert Holdings company, is a leading supplier of high-quality, versatile prepackaged desserts for retail, in-store bakeries, and frozen categories in North America and beyond. Located in Kennesaw, Georgia, we are part of a network with facilities across Massachusetts, Colorado, North Carolina, Texas, Minnesota, and Canada.

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Kennesaw, GA, working 2nd shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, setup, and troubleshooting of food manufacturing equipment (e.g., mixers, conveyors, ovens, depositors, dishwashers).
• Complete daily reports on machinery operation and repairs.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Communicate with maintenance team regarding equipment failures and coordinate repairs; evaluate and recommend preventive measures.
• Work with 3-phase electrical systems.
• Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes and assist with corrective actions.
• Operate PLCs and motor control systems.
• Work shifts and weekends as required.
• Maintain mechanical systems such as gearboxes, motors, chains, and bearings.
• Order materials and parts based on schematics and CMMS data.
• Follow GMP, Food Plant, and OSHA safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience; 5 years preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding is a plus.
• Minor fabrication skills.
• At least 2 years of food service experience.
• 5 years of PLC and motor control experience.

Physical Demands:

Must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The role involves walking, standing, climbing, and moving quickly in emergencies. Work may be in hot, cold, or ambient temperatures. Manual dexterity is required for continuous hand and finger movements. Punctuality is essential.
