Job Title: 1st Shift Industrial Electrician
Location: Decatur, AR
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:30 am to 4:00 pm
Pay Rate: Negotiable based on experience

Primary Purpose

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for electrical maintenance activities and overseeing other electricians in a manufacturing environment. They obtain permits and perform electrical work legally required to maintain facility equipment, infrastructure, and operations. The Electrician must exercise independent judgment in decision-making without supervision.

Education/Certification

A combination of education and experience equivalent to the electrician's requirements.

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Proven ability to identify creative solutions to problems.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to operate hand tools, mechanical equipment, and a personal computer.
• Effective communication skills; ability to read and interpret documents.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate electrical and electronic equipment for efficiency and safety.
• Follow scheduled maintenance for cleaning and lubricating equipment.
• Maintain records of equipment status and maintenance activities.
• Study blueprints and schematics to determine needed methods, materials, and equipment.
• Be available to direct resources 24/7, including holidays.
• Perform repairs and scheduled maintenance on equipment and assets.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and team members are properly equipped and trained.
• Provide detailed work documentation and records.
• Manage special projects and perform electrical wiring, splicing, disassembly, repair, and testing of electrical components.
• Inspect and evaluate electrical installations for compliance and safety.
• Determine materials needed for repairs, prepare requisitions, and monitor inventory.
• Train lower-level electricians and others as needed.
• Develop project plans, estimates, and reports.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
