Job summary

Four-State-Trucks is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to perform routine inspections and basic repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and structural components. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, want to work with customers, and be capable of operating hand and power tools. Forklift experience is preferred and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required, with preference for additional maintenance experience.
• Must maintain a positive attitude with a customer service focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift trucks and order pickers experience preferred but training will be provided.
• Ability to multi-task, manage time, and prioritize tasks.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Assist in general repairs of machinery, equipment, and structural components (painting, flooring, lighting).
• Apply basic construction knowledge to wood structure repairs.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and assist with repairs under supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and comply with safety regulations.
• Record maintenance activities and service requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections andmaintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• General Repairs: Assist in repairing machinery,equipment, and structural components (painting, flooring, lighting).
• BasicConstruction knowledge as pertains to wood structure repair methods.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose basic mechanicalissues and assist with repairs under supervision.
• Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and cleanworkspace, following all safety regulations and procedures.
• Documentation: Record maintenance activitiesand service requests.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma, or GED equivalent needed. Any furthereducation/experience in the maintenance area preferred.
• Must maintain a positive attitude, with a customer servicefocus in a fast-paced work environment.
• Use of forklift trucks & order pickers experiencepreferred but will train.
• Should possess ability to multi-task, manage timeeffectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Should be detail-oriented, focused, driven, and aself-starter.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, andorganizational skills.
• Knowledge of general carpentry, and repairs needed.
• Should have ability to use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well asindependently.
• One year of maintenance experience and a valid driver’slicense needed for driving company vehicles.
