Job summary

A leading baking company in Hebron Estates is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on production equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical systems and mechanical repairs, able to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, handling machinery, and ensuring adherence to safety and GMP regulations. Qualifications

• Open availability for shifts, including nights.
• 2+ years experience as a Maintenance Technician preferred.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical issues.
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance to plant equipment, machinery and facilities
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or other problems using schematics, drawings, manuals, multi-meters, etc.
• Troubleshoot AC and DC electrical controls and circuits
• Understand PLC operations and troubleshoot from a nonprogrammer level.
• Perform routine tasks, such as set-ups, cleaning, lubricating, and starting equipment
• Operate forklifts and scissor lift equipment

Qualifications

• Must have open availability
• Night shift availability required
• Experience with 3 phase and low voltage power
• Experience with fasteners, hand & power tools, precision measurement tools, gearboxes, bearings, rotating equipment, and assembly/disassembly of machinery
• Experience Welding and Fabrication
• Experience with photo eyes, prox. switches, etc.
• Knowledge in use of calipers and micrometers
• Experience with broad range of hand tools
• Strong teamwork capabilities
• Familiar with general plumbing using PVC, Copper and black iron pipe
• Able to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds and maneuver in tight places (in and around machinery)
• Good communication skills, self-motivated and detail oriented

Experience

• Maintenance Technician: 2 + year experience preferred

Additional Information

• Food manufacturing facility in which Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) must be followed at all times. Safety shoes are required from day one, including for the interview as a facility tour will be part of the interview process.
• The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. It will involve lifting, bending, reaching over head, standing for extended periods and performing tasks that require fine motor skills for handling product and ensuring product quality.
• All new hires are subject to a 90-day probationary period, with weekly performance & attendance reviews.
• As part of the hiring process, a pre-employment background check and drug test are required, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
