Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Commercial bakery experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using schematics, manuals, and testing equipment.
• Repair and replace motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, pumps, valves, chains, belts, and related components.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and startup activities.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to scheduled maintenance plans.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
• Follow all safety procedures, GMPs, and food safety regulations.
• Work closely with production personnel to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work area.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a commercial bakery or food manufacturing environment, with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to respond quickly to production equipment breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging equipment, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and production machinery.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must have own maintenance tools.
